Havealot is a small South African web design and digital marketing studio. We have been building websites for local businesses since 2018, and we work with clients across Johannesburg, Gauteng and the rest of the country.
How we work
Small studio, no account managers, no handoffs. The person who plans your site builds it and answers your messages afterwards. We quote fixed prices, we write down what is and is not included, and we do not start work before you have approved both.
We are deliberately transparent about pricing because this industry generally is not. Our packages, our ongoing costs and our exclusions are published on the pricing page, so you can compare us against anyone else without a discovery call.
What we believe about websites
A website exists to produce enquiries, sales or bookings. Everything else — animation, cleverness, awards — is decoration. So we optimise for load speed on mobile data, for a clear next action on every page, and for being findable in the searches your customers actually type. When something we build is not producing results, we would rather tell you why than quietly renew a retainer.
What we are honest about
We do not guarantee page-one rankings, because nobody can. We do not take a percentage of your ad spend. We do not lock clients into proprietary platforms — your domain, hosting and WordPress admin are yours, and if you leave you take everything with you.
